Nursing and Residential Manager, Royal British Legion

My name is Nadine, I am the Nursing and Residential Manager at one of the Royal British Legion’s nursing homes. We have 101 beds providing nursing, residential and dementia care for veterans.

I manage a large team of staff including carers, senior carers, nurses and lead staff.

I have worked within leadership for 5 years, and in management for 2 years. I have developed within my role, with support from the homes management team since beginning here.

I completed a Resilience-based Clinical Supervision Programme with FoNS and loved it so much, seeing the value it brings to the workplace was remarkable. I arranged for the entire nursing team to attend to further develop the resilience and relationships within the team.

I am currently participating in the Person-centred Cultures Programme and am finding benefits already, I am able to apply what I learn from the programme and other participants into the workplace.
