My career as a learning disability nurse spans over 22 years, I have worked in different environments and both in adult and children’s services. I have a strong management and leadership background through various job roles over my nursing career. I have been coaching fellow nurses as part of their own development and helping them with career progression. I am passionate about learning disability nursing and my areas of interest are working with people who challenges the services, restorative supervision and support systems. I am excited to embark on this new journey and be part of FoNS. I look forward to supporting less experienced nurses by developing and enhancing their career in learning disability nursing and helping them to become high quality practitioners.
