I’m honoured to act as a mentor to other learning disability nurses through the FoNS Fellowship programme.  I have been a learning disability nurse for 34 years and worked with people of all ages and in both community and inpatient settings. My current role enables me to influence and shape services in collaboration with people and their families and carers.  Having been a consultant nurse since 2002 I have been involved in a number of national developments and been able to support others locally regionally and nationally to drive forward change and transformation.  I continue to deliver clinical assessment and interventions, am an NMP and RC.  I work independently as well as within the NHS.
