I am a clinical team leader on a high dependency ward which specialises in providing care for men with a primary diagnosis of personality disorder and mental illness. The aim of the ward is to provide a safe environment, enabling patients to maximise the benefit of multi-disciplinary team involvement and appropriate therapy to increase motivation and engagement and to reduce risk.

Working in such a fast paced environment of a high-risk nature, I am always looking for ways to improve services for patients and improve areas of work for staff.

I am looking forward to building my confidence in leading complex discussions and matters ranging from challenging behaviours on the ward to new ideas which can be implemented.
