Emma Green

I am a lead nurse in the community learning disability team. My role is to provide person-centred care to individuals and services in the community. Referrals come to our team for various reasons, primarily where individuals and services are struggling to manage in their current situations and require our support and guidance managing those who seem to be struggling at a particular time.

I am looking forward to learning new skills to take back to my team. I’m hoping we will be able to think and work more creatively with our patients, service users and care givers. I’m hoping to be able to work in more person-centred ways, as the variety of those who we support is vast, and every person has different needs, wants and requirements. This will hopefully help me empower the services that we support to provide a better quality of are overall and give individuals a better quality of life.
