Rodney Lowe

I am the manager of the Acute Medical Unit at County Hospital part of the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust which is across both Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent.  I manage a team of around 64 staff and we receive our patients from A&E, the Medical Receiving Unit or other clinic areas.  I have worked on AMU for over 13 years and I have been manager for five.

I am hoping that the Inspire Improvement Fellowship Programme will support my team by providing me with the knowledge and skills to renew working relationships and foster a greater sense of teamwork. I am keen to invest in the future of the NHS and I believe that support at ward level and above is essential for development of a compassionate and competent workforce.
