Rhian Tucker
Clinical Team Lead, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Hello, my name is Rhian. I am currently working as a clinical team lead within a secondary community mental health service based in Eastbourne offering assessment and treatment for people with severe and enduring mental health issues.
Whilst I have a number of years’ experience in nursing, I am fairly new to a leadership management role, although I have always been interested in leadership and how I can positively affect change no matter what role and position I have been in. I am keen to increase my knowledge in this area to underpin not only my own role but to also improve staff morale and reignite the team’s enthusiasm to improve the care and service that we provide.
I have been working on developing team cohesion and fostering better working relationships with other services in order to provide better care for the people we work with.
We have been particularly focused over the past 6 months on staff wellbeing and trying to establish a more positive working culture to enable change to happen.
I would like to develop my leadership skills in order to really push through positive change and working practices, to support the team and the service to maximise the way we work and deliver high quality care we can all be proud of.
