As a result of becoming an Inspire Improvement Fellow I hope to develop further skills to enhance my leadership and to increase my confidence in providing a positive experience for my team. I hope to gain alternative techniques with which I can inspire, motivate and support a team to improve patient experience, patient pathways and patient care. Enabling and empowering all members of the team to challenge behaviours and culture in a positive and creative way to enhance the care that we give both to our patients, their relatives and our colleagues.

As a result, I hope the team will feel valued, well supported and engaged. I hope that the team themselves will become proactive in identifying innovative ways of working that will improve patient care and their work environment.

I hope patients feel that they are well cared for from the moment they enter the department, that they have a good experience with all of my team members and they have clear communication with their expectations honestly managed.
