Completed a RBCS Social Care programme and want to connect with like-minded RBCS facilitators? Then join our network! We will be holding quarterly events which will have an opportunity to hear and celebrate what others are doing as well as discussing challenges.
Our next event will be 11 December 2024, 11.00-12.00 –via MS Teams
Matthew Adlem from Fulcrum Care Limited gave a presentation about Clinical Supervision and CQC requirements.
His main points were:
- Have a policy in place about clinical supervision and follow it
- Keep a clear record of when clinical supervision is held and who attends
- Evidence the difference between managerial and clinical supervision
- Consider how your organisation vision and values support an open listening and reflective practice
- Ask how your organisation can demonstrate that staff feel they are supported and listened to
- Can you demonstrate how you support registered employees with NMC revalidation?
- CQC do not need to see an explanation of what was talked about in RBCS clinical supervision sessions, but reflections on a supervision session may be worth doing especially where organisational lessons have been identified
