Scholarship Winners Announced
Year on year the calibre of applicants for our annual Richard Tompkins Scholarship remains high. In addition, this year we have been very excited to offer for the first-time, a scholarship open to registered nurses working in the social care sector. The judges found the shortlisting and interviewing process very difficult due to the high quality of all the applicants. We want to thank everyone who has shown such interest in our Residential Programme and bespoke mentorship.
However, after much deliberation, we are delighted to present two Richard Tompkins and two Social Care Nurse Development Scholarships for 2025.
A huge congratulations to them all, and we look forward to working with them over the next year.

Ope Olufowobi
Clinical Services Manager, Hodge Hill Grange Care Home
Being awarded the Social Care Nurse Development Scholarship 2025 is a real privilege and honour. The learning promises to enhance and improve the level of care provided by myself and my team, will further integrate a person-centred culture in the home, and in my personal practice as a nurse and as a clinical services manager.
Pushpa Sagoo
Director of Operations, Broadening Choices for Older People
Being awarded my first-ever scholarship, especially as the recipient of the inaugural Social Care Scholarship, is both an incredible and humbling achievement. This scholarship is not only a recognition of my passion for making a difference in people’s lives but also an affirmation of the hard work and dedication I’ve put into my studies, and personal development.
Leonora King
Registered nurse working in Palliative and End of Life Care
I am thrilled and speechless to have been given the Richard Tompkins award. It’s not often you meet people who speak the same language as you and are as passionate about practice development principles and person-centred cultures, so when I do, I embrace every opportunity that comes my way.
