Matthew Adlem from Fulcrum Care Limited gave a presentation about Clinical Supervision and CQC requirements.

His main points were:

• Have a policy in place about clinical supervision and follow it
• Keep a clear record of when clinical supervision is held and who attends
• Evidence the difference between managerial and clinical supervision
• Consider how your organisation vision and values support an open listening and reflective practice
• Ask how your organisation can demonstrate that staff feel they are supported and listened to
• Can you demonstrate how you support registered employees with NMC revalidation?
• CQC do not need to see an explanation of what was talked about in RBCS clinical supervision sessions, but reflections on a supervision session may be worth doing especially where organisational lessons have been identified
