Recent successes for Teaching and Learning Care Homes

FoNS is delighted to share the recent successes of two of the teams participating in the Teaching and Learning Care Homes Programme which has been commissioned by Norfolk and Waveney ICS. 

• Holmwood House entered a poster about their work to enhance end of life care and were first prize winners at the Norfolk and Waveney ICS Quality and Research Conference 
• Oakwood House were winners of the ‘Nursing in Social Care Award’ at the Norfolk Care Awards; Holmwood House and Hassingham House were both highly commended 

Kate Sanders, who is working with the care home teams as part of the programme said:

‘It is a joy to be working with such committed and motivated teams who are constantly striving to develop and improve care for older persons. It is great to see their achievements being shared and celebrated.’
