Harriet Royle

Hi, my name is Harriet, and I am proud to be the ward leader for a renal and general internal medical ward. I am responsible for managing and leading 30 members of staff, registered nurses, associate practitioners and healthcare assistants. I have been a ward leader for 4 years.  I am passionate about patient safety and quality care.

Our team have recently launched a pilot for Same Day Emergency Care, specialities including renal, infectious diseases, gastroenterology and hepatology. I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of setting up this new project, to improve patient experience and satisfaction whilst leading my team. The team have found this project rewarding and enjoy observing the progress it is making.

I am thrilled to have been selected for the Inspire Improvement Fellowship and I am excited to learn, develop, share learning and put theory into practice. I hope to build on a safe supportive environment, where staff can be nurtured and developed.  I am looking forward to networking and meeting others across the country with similar backgrounds/leadership roles.
