About Us

Our unique approach –helping nurses to lead innovation in the workplace, has achieved improvements in patient experience and care.

FoNS has developed an excellent reputation at the forefront of nursing. As a registered charity, FoNS operates UK wide and across all healthcare settings. We are dedicated to working with nurses and healthcare teams to develop and share innovative ways of improving practice; thereby enabling them to provide care that is high quality; evidence based and meets the needs of patients.

FoNS has an ambitious vision for its future; we want to be the first organisation that nurses think of when they want inspiration and help with making improvements to the care they give to patients.

We aim to achieve this by:

  • Giving nurses and other healthcare practitioners, easy access to information, resources and networking opportunities through our virtual Centre for Nursing Innovation
  • Working directly with nurses in practice, helping them to focus on patients, their needs and their care
  • Creating access to funding and development opportunities
